STELIOS has been incorporated to act as an Investment Manager for setting up a SEBI-registered AIF CAT III Long/Short fund. “Stelios India Opportunities Fund” would be an Absolute return fund designed to generate absolute returns irrespective of market direction.
STELIOS has received Series A international Venture Capital funding through Alarabi Investments Company Limited, registered in DIFC, Dubai, to start India-focused and global hedge funds and establish Investment Managers for the same.
The Investment Managers would look to set-up diversified multi-strategy long-short hedge fund styled funds targeting absolute return managed on a non-discretionary basis through Algorithmic Trading for sophisticated investors.
Apart from AIF CAT-III fund, STELIOS is mandated to launch an offshore FPI CAT-II fund based out onshore of Mauritius with an objective of investing in Indian markets and a QIF 3C global hedge fund based out of Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) with an objective of investing in GCC and Global markets.

Harjeet has been a serial entrepreneur in FinTech, EdTech and Capital Markets and is a Financial Mathematician and Alumnus of Stanford University.
He is currently Board Member and Chief Executive Officer of Stelios Asset Management Pvt Ltd, an Investment Manager established in India. He has a rich and varied global multi-asset class experience in Global Markets & Risk, Investment Management, Sales & Trading, Algorithmic Trading, Quantitative Finance and Management Consulting across international financial institutions/banks/MNCs such as Morgan Stanley, Nomura, Standard Chartered Bank, Merrill Lynch and Accenture Consulting.
He has been consulting the Department of Economic Affairs – Ministry of Finance in Capital Markets Policy Formation in the capacity of Consultant and Sector Specialist. He is an Algorithmic Trading expert and has helped the Ministry of Finance in matters related to policy formation in Algorithmic Trading.
He has received the CFA, FRM, CAIA and PRM International charters and is a member with international associations such as CFA Institute, Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP), Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association (CAIA Association) and Professional Risk Managers’ International Association (PRMIA).
In FinTech, he has been Founder-Director on QRAC Pvt Ltd, which is a Quantitative Investment Research firm that specializes in building Quantitative Investment Strategies across global equities, commodities, currencies and fixed income. QRAC employs multi-strategy approach on different asset classes in global markets. QRAC specializes in Long/Short Futures strategies, sophisticated Option trading strategies and Global Macro/Managed Futures strategies through Algorithmic Trading. His Research firm has been servicing Institutional clients in Capital markets.
Through his EdTech initiative, he has collaborated with Moody’s Analytics and conducted specialized domain training sessions in Capital Markets for Exchanges, Regulators, Asset Management firms, Banks, Financial Institutions, Universities such as Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), National Stock Exchange (NSE), Invesco Asset Management, Prudential Asset Management, JP Morgan Asset Management, Nomura, Morgan Stanley, London School of Economics and National Institute of Securities & Markets (NISM).
He is a Financial Mathematician and Alumnus from Stanford University, US and had successfully completed Dissertation Thesis in Algorithmic Trading under Department of Statistics, Stanford University.
He also holds an MBA (PGDBM) degree from XLRI School of Business, India with a specialization in Finance and Economics. He has an Engineering degree in Information Technology from Mumbai University. He had received prestigious scholarships such as Ratan Tata Scholarship, JRD Tata Scholarship, KC Mahindra Scholarship and Prafulla Mukherji Scholarship for graduate studies.
Mr Alghaith is currently the CEO of Alarabi Investments, an investment company that specialises in Venture Capital and Private Equity investments. He holds a Master’s in Business Administration from ESADE Business School, Spain.
Mr Alghaith was previously a Mutual Funds Specialist at Capital Market Authority Riyadh, Saudi Arabia where he worked on numerous Real Estate, Private Equity, Saudi Equity, and Money Markets funds in Saudi Arabia, both public and private placement. He has overseen real estate transactions including (but not limited to) Burj Rafal, Dyar Jeddah, KSB RE Opportunity Fund, MEFIC Income Generating Fund, and Aljazira Residential Projects Fund.
He has also worked on Investment Banking transactions, assessing Initial Public Offering in the Saudi Equity Market and actively participated in the introduction and development of the Exchange Traded Funds (ETF’s) to the Saudi market. He has led a team of 4 to develop privately offered funds.
Furthermore, he has worked as a Private Equity and Venture Capital expert at one of the largest GCC Sovereign Banks, Alinma Investment Bank at Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He was responsible for the creation of the Private Equity and Venture Capital Department at Alinma Investment Company. Structure Alinma REIT, which was SAR 6 billion carve-out transaction of three of Jabal Omar’s hotels (Conrad, Hyatt, and Hilton) in Mekkah.
Mr Alghaith has also structured and managed Alinma Education Fund with a target AUM of SAR 250 million, and closed acquisition deals by the Fund, structured and managed Dhahiat Sumou Real Estate Fund and Alinma Innovation Fund, a venture capital fund investing in the broader digital economy in the MENA region.
ROHIT M. NERURKAR
Mr Nerurkar is a Chartered Accountant from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and holds Bachelor of Economics and Accounts from Mumbai University, India.
He is a part of a High Ranking Private Office as Investment Advisor in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and also a Founder of a boutique consulting outfit called Advanced Elements Management Services Co. specialized in investment banking advisory mainly financial advisory, equity and debt raising for greenfield and brownfield projects, Mergers and Acquisitions, Joint Ventures, and Merger Integrations.
He is also on board of a venture capital fund in UAE mainly focused on investing in leading technology start-ups across the world.
Prior to that Mr Nerurkar has been a director of Debt Capital Market Investment Banking within Alinma Investment Company “AIC”, most of his experience is related to financial advisory and investment banking. In particular, debt advisory and syndications, in addition to Sukuk Advisory, buy and sell side advisory, merger and acquisition. Rohit has been the Co- Team Leader for a USD 2 billion Sukuk for a leading Petrochemical Company in the Kingdom and Team Leader for a USD 1 billion Greenfield Projection seamless steel pipes industry for raising debt and equity (Senior Debt size USD 650 million Equity of around USD 200 million and also been the Co- Team Leader for a debt restructuring for more USD 320 million debt for a large Construction Contracting Company (Senior Debt size USD 320 million). He has worked as the Team Leader for Debt Advisory for a Specialized Cancer Hospital Project in Riyadh (Senior Debt size USD 100 million).
Before joining AIC, he was Assistant Vice President - Investment Banking at Muscat Capital in Saudi Arabia and Bank Muscat, Sultanate of Oman. He also worked in Corporate Advisory Services at ICRA Management Consulting Services, member of Moody’s Investor Services in India and Manager – Corporate Finance Advisory Services at Arthur Andersen, India and Assistant Manager – Corporate Finance Advisory Services at KPMG, India.
Rohit brings along a rich experience in investment banking and business consulting. He has worked with Alinma, Muscat Capital, Moody’s investor services, KPMG etc.
His multi billion-dollar deal experiences, come as a boon to Stelios as it grows in terms of size and valuations.
